Sravasti – 25 Rainsy Seasons of Lord Buddha – Buddhism in Sravasti - Jetavana - Ananda Bodhi Tree

There are many numbers of primitive stupas, forts, majestic viharas and temples representing strong association of Lord Buddha with Shravasti, founded by Vedic period king, Shravasta. 

Some major attractions of Sravasti are:
Jetavana: It host to Lord Buddha and his pilgrims, where one of his followers, a rich merchant, covered the whole ground of the park (vana) with gold coins. Jetavana monastery is main tourist attractions with meditation and chanting made at Gandhakuti, known as Buddha's hut and Anandabodhi tree. It is the place where Lord Buddha spent 19 rainy seasons. The main attractions of this place are Anandabodhi tree, Anandakuti and Gandhakuti.

The Ananda Bodhi Tree: Under this bodhi tree Lord Buddha Meditated for a night.

Balrampur: Known for a shrine constructed in contemporary architectural style.

Saheth: A main pilgrimage place where various temples, stupas and monasteries are situated

Anathapindika Stupa: A much admired Buddhists site erected by Anathapindika.

Sobhanath Temple: Birthplace of Tirthankara Sambhavanath in Jainism.

Mahabodhi Temple: The Mahabodhi, great enlightenment is a Buddhist stupa in Bodh Gaya where Buddha got enlightenment under a tree known as Bodhi tree. The main complex of temple contains a descendant of the original Bodhi Tree. Mahabodhi Vihar is known as great awakening temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Mahabodhi is one of the most sacred destination in Buddhism.

Boudhanath: Boudhanath, located in Kathmandu is one of the largest stupas in the world. Boudhnath is a center of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. It is famous for Buddha eyes which are placed on all four sides of the tower.

Todaiji Temple: Todaiji, Great Eastern Temple in Nara is a historically significant and renowned Buddhist temples of Japan. Great Buddha Hall of Todaiji temple houses the world's largest bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana. This temple is one of the powerful Seven Great Temples in Nara.

Jokhang Temple: One of highly scared temple in Lhasa, Tibet. This Tibetan Buddhist site draws thousands of pilgrims every year.

Pha That Luang: This Buddhist Temple is one of the most popular monuments in located in Vientiane, Laos. It is gold-covered large Buddhist stupa in Vientiane, Laos. This monument has many terraces in which each representing a different stage of Buddhist enlightenment.

Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan: Known as Temple of Dawn or Wat Chaeng is one of the oldest and famed temple situated in at bank of Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand. The architecture of Wat Arun temple is just like Mount Meru, a sacred mountain with five peaks in Hindu, Jain and Buddhist cosmology.

Haeinsa Temple: Haeinsa is one of prominent Buddhist temples in South Korea. Haeinsa Temple is one of the three Jewel Temple of South Korea.
