Buddhism is a big religion around the world founded by Lord Buddha born in Lumbini, Nepal. Buddhism is based on the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama. Buddha is known by many names as The Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama and Shakyamuni Buddha. Goal of Buddhism is to escape from suffering and cycle of rebirth that means the attainment of nirvana.

There are to ten Buddhist Temple in World:

Borobudur: The largest & renowned Buddhist temple in the world located in the Indonesian island of Java. The Borobudur was built by the kingdom of Sailendra.

Bagan: Also known as Pagan is located on the banks of the River Ayerwaddy provide homage to more than 2,000 Buddhist monuments, temples, pagodas, stupas and ruins. Bagan known for its Bagan Archaeological Area.

Shwedagon Pagoda: Shwedagon Pagoda called as Great Dagon Pagoda or Golden Pagoda is a gilded stupa situated in Yangon, Myanmar. Shwedagon Pagoda is one of the holiest Buddhist shrine in Myanmar. The temple complex is filled with shining colorful stupas.

Mahabodhi Temple: The Mahabodhi, great enlightenment is a Buddhist stupa in Bodh Gaya where Buddha got enlightenment under a tree known as Bodhi tree. The main complex of temple contains a descendant of the original Bodhi Tree. Mahabodhi Vihar is known as great awakening temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Mahabodhi is one of the most sacred destination in Buddhism.

Boudhanath: Boudhanath, located in Kathmandu is one of the largest stupas in the world. Boudhnath is a center of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. It is famous for Buddha eyes which are placed on all four sides of the tower.

Todaiji Temple: Todaiji, Great Eastern Temple in Nara is a historically significant and renowned Buddhist temples of Japan. Great Buddha Hall of Todaiji temple houses the world's largest bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana. This temple is one of the powerful Seven Great Temples in Nara.

Jokhang Temple: One of highly scared temple in Lhasa, Tibet. This Tibetan Buddhist site draws thousands of pilgrims every year.

Pha That Luang: This Buddhist Temple is one of the most popular monuments in located in Vientiane, Laos. It is gold-covered large Buddhist stupa in Vientiane, Laos. This monument has many terraces in which each representing a different stage of Buddhist enlightenment.

Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan: Known as Temple of Dawn or Wat Chaeng is one of the oldest and famed temple situated in at bank of Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand. The architecture of Wat Arun temple is just like Mount Meru, a sacred mountain with five peaks in Hindu, Jain and Buddhist cosmology.

Haeinsa Temple: Haeinsa is one of prominent Buddhist temples in South Korea. Haeinsa Temple is one of the three Jewel Temple of South Korea.
